Moving Things Around…Again
Hi Friends, I am at it….again. Moving things around, that is. My hutch in the kitchen is the target of one of the first changes in the house. I’m showing bits and pieces and will come back with the entire change a bit later. It takes about two weeks for me to get a design I am happy with.
I really enjoy placing some elegant items on this rustic Farmhouse hutch. I love the mix. I am also adding several of my pink milk glass pieces.
I found these smoky lavender chargers in Michaels and fell in love with the color….it is very unusual. I love anything with lavender hues. So soft.
Hope you are having fun whipping your homes back into shape after the holidays. It is a job, isn’t it? Whew!
Thanks so much for your visit.

I love rearranging and cleaning as I go! Enjoy your week...looks like it will be warmer today! ♥
ReplyDeleteI am whipping mine back into shape! I just gathered up another tub of glass trees and other littles! I still have a few things out that are more Winterery than Christmasy:) And those will stay out a while longer!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day my friend, can't wait to see the big picture of all of your changes to the hutch! Love what I see SO FAR! HUGS!
Hello Barb
ReplyDeletePretty cold here too but milder weather on the way. :-)
I do love that teapot in the first photo and being a lavender person myself, will check our Michael's for the chargers. Usually we have the same things in our stores as in the US and they would go well with my summer dishes.

Barb,
ReplyDeletethis is some of the very best puttering I have ever seen. Love the white, gray and lavender together and that Teapot- wowzers, that's a beauty and a great focal piece..
Hi Barb! Happy New Year! I love to putter, and change things too! We put our real tree up late this year, so I am still enjoying it! It will come down this weekend. lol! Love your display, and the chargers are so pretty!

ReplyDeleteYes, and it is also very rewarding to have the house back to us.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that during the Holidays the party, the sparkle, all it represents takes hold of the atmosphere and the house.
Now it's returned, allowing us to reinvent it and fall in love once again with pieces recently bought or the old ones that seem to be away for too long.
I also love lavender hues, specially in this time when we're so ready to bid farewell to Winter and Hello to Spring.
Lovely choices, as usual, Barb.
Happy New Year!
Barb, it is looking so pretty. I always take my time when I'm making changes, too.
ReplyDeleteI saw those chargers at Michael's, and they are such a wonderful color. I've been looking for some black chargers, but I haven't found the "right" ones yet.
Nice rearrancing Barb.Have a nice day
ReplyDeleteLooking very sweet Barb! I love rearranging - things don't stay in one place too long at my little house :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
Gail
Hi Barb! I'm loving what I'm seeing now! You do have the prettiest things and know how to make such pretty arrangements. Your little kitchen hutch sounds like my kitchen hutch - it's my favorite piece to mess with! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Hi Barb,
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we are all ready to make change around the home..I'm working down in the basement..Have a full basement of things collected thru the years..too much..but it has to get done before I even think of puttering!
Love the chargers..wish I could find a color other than gold...good for you, I'm jelous(hehe)..
It's always so nice to have something new to look at and about once a month I make some changes around here with seasonal bits and pieces. It always gives me a good excuse to dust and clean, but Christmas decorations about triple what I'd usually do so, yes, I agree putting it all aways can be tiring. Tomorrow will be the day it all gets put away here. I love your hutch arrangements. Very pretty indeed.
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so pretty, Barb. enjoy rearranging. I think I brought the cold weather here but looks like it is getting better again...Christine
ReplyDeleteHOW LOVELY THİNGS ..... BEAUTİFUL.
ReplyDeleteHI Barb, I am in the midst of putting all the Christmas away PLUS getting the house ready for our daughter and SIL to MOVE IN while their house is being built!!!!This is exhausting, especially considering how MUCH Christmas stuff I have!!!! Everything looks lovely, Barb. The last of my company left today, so I still have a lot of fluffing to do.

Hi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI came over after you left us a very nice comment on our blog about my outdoor party table and I wanted to reciprocate. So glad I did because your blog is so pretty! I love your header. The photos are so pretty in it. Since opening our blog, I have started to notice nice quality photos because our own are wanting. There is so much to learn with blogging. Anyway, I wanted you to know that we appreciated your visit and your comment. I have realized more and more how hard it is to put pictures out there for other people to see. It's hard not to wonder if people are silent (visiting without leaving a comment) because they dislike what they see. Your nice comment, saved me from fretting over that. REALLY appreciated. By the way, we are following you now.
Sincerely,
Eldarose from http://Re-inventedstyle.blogspot.com
Barb you have a beautiful blog and I'm so glad I came. And your home is simply lovely. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed hutch. I love what you have done so far. I have just become a follower and look forward to seeing more of your design creativity.
