Roses in the Snow

Quiet Moments in the House

007

Hi Friends, I wanted to share my pink roses with you. They speak to my very soul and tell me to slow down and enjoy all the sweet moments associated with the season.

008

I smell cookies in the oven….yummy. I hear Christmas music softly playing in the background and I hear my kitty cat playing in the paper that I will be using to wrap my packages with. Haha.

I am reflective today…..as much as I love this season, I also miss the long and lazy days of summer and sitting on the porch after dinner. Good grief, I am definitely soulful today! :-) I have the shopping under control….such a relief! Everything is pretty much done…..except planning for the big dinner on Christmas day.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and save a bit of time for yourself and some peace and quiet.

Thanks for your visits always.

Barb

  1. I'm having a very quiet day today...the calm before the storm! I'm listening to Christmas carols and contemplating a nap!!

Do you still have roses blooming! Anything is possible to me in Florida! Beautiful picture of the rose in the "snow"! None of the real stuff here yet, it makes me a little anxious but don't ask me that in February!

    Have a wonderful weekend, Barb!

    XO,
    Jane

  6. The roses are just beautiful. I love how you've made it look like snow for your rose to lay on. I am missing the sunshine and warmth and wishing for a sunny day out on my patio. These cloudy days are just beginning and it will be a long time before the sunny days will return for sure. Glad you have that shopping done.

  7. I love the roses! Tomorrow I get to be at home. All day. Enjoying the music, the smells, the peacefulness of doing exactly what I want, when I want. I am so looking forward to all of that. Your roses are helping me get ready for that. Love it.

  8. The colors of your roses are so subtly different, some pink, some slightly rose, some with a hint of cream. Beautiful.

  16. I miss the long lazy days of summer, too. The days are now getting a bit longer so it won't be too long.

I'm going to follow along with you. I read "cottage on a lake" and knew that following would be a must!
