Hope Your Christmas Was Wonderful

Another Christmas has Come and Gone!

018

Hi Bloggy Friends, just a quick post to touch base. I do hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas filled with peace, joy and love.

Are you stuffed from all the delicious food? How was your weather? We had the warmest Christmas I can remember in a long time. We spent the afternoon sitting on the sun porch watching the birds (and boats) on the lake. We had eggnog during the evening….and just relaxed with some neighbors. It was wonderful.

I have been looking around at all the pretty decorations today and admiring them but have decided to take them down tomorrow. I’m ready for a fresh start….how about you?

Barb

  1. The lights on my tree went out last night about 7. I'm taking that as a sign:) The packing it up will begin in the morning for me.
It was a lovely holiday but I am ready to do some serious cleaning and I have lots of projects in mind.

  9. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas there My decorations are not coming down till January 6th. We had a mild Christmas day here for us. It was in the mid 40's and no snow so we can be thankful for that. We are due to have some tomorrow though.

  11. I'm so happy that you had a fun and relaxing Christmas! Mine was not very relaxing but it was wonderful. My tree is begging to be taken down with every needle that falls, but I want to keep it until at least New Years Day. I can be such a child! I will be craving nice, neat rooms soon enough!

    Enjoy your week, Barb!

    XO,
    Janie

  14. I thought about taking some of the fresh...er dead greenery down, but didn't I'll wait till after the first to take the tree down. Hubby likes it up till then and he's a big help putting everything away. Take care and have a good week.

  18. Happy after Christmas to you, too. Ours was warm also but very enjoyable. Would you believe my main tree is already down and the rest of the trimmings come down today. I love Christmas decor but am always ready for a fresh (and dusted) start to the New Year. One more cup of coffee and I'm off and going. Have a wonderful day. Patty

  19. We had a quiet and green Christmas, usually we have lots of snow by now.
Everyone that had to drive was thankful for bare roads though and didn't have to worry about a storm.
I always leave my decor up until New Year's Day and then only the snowflakes and snowmen stay out until spring.

  20. I hate taking the decorations down, I love them so much! But I got a "Shark" for Christmas that I am anxious to try out so have some added incentive to get it done. Plus my daughter wants to take her real tree and put it in the backyard and decorate it for the birds, that should be fun!

  22. Still trying to make it around to all those I love and admire Miss B...

I pray your Christmas was lovely and blessed and your New Year 2012 is filled with God's best. We all have so much to be grateful for and I'm thankful today for those who have shared with me their kindness and friendship during this past year. It's been a challenging one and I'm so looking forward to my hubster finishing school and things getting back to "normal" around here.

Thinking of you and praying for good things to come your way.

    Love, Rebecca

  24. Merry Christmas Barb! We had an unseasonably warm Christmas week here in central England too. But it's turning colder. I didn't see as much of the holiday season this year as I would have liked, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Glad to hear someone else is ready to start clearing away the Christmas decorating! I've started that today too.

  28. Not having any to take down is the only nice thing about not decorating for Christmas. Anyway, my granddaughter arrived the day after Christmas and I hope you will have a chance to meet her on my blog. Happy new year to you all, Barb!...Christine
