Keeping it Soft
Hi Friends, how is your decorating coming along? Mine is finally finished and I started early. Good grief….LOL.
This is our den mantel. Our den is small and probably our favorite room in our room. It is saved just for us…and seems really special. I kept the colors toned down this year but my husband is not too up for it. He loves color so I let him decorate the exterior of our home. You should see it….it is VERY colorful. Haha.
I am so into silver this year. I just love it!
Can you believe two weeks is all we have left until Christmas? I am in some kind of a time warp because I cannot wrap my head around that fact!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Barb,
ReplyDeletethats Beautiful.. love the carolers under your cloche.
It's glorious, Barb!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and I do love your reindeer. The whole mantle is so nice. Glad you are done. I am here except for the candle lights I put in the windows. I somehow managed to misplace them. I think I have one more half day in the craft room and then I'm done with that too.
ReplyDeleteIt is coming so fast! Everything looks so lovely! I am getting excited now...everything here is pretty much ready...you would think I was still a kid!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and festive mantel Barb! The carolers under glass are totally adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThis green and gold combo has such old world romance to it. andrea@townandprairie

ReplyDeleteHello Barb
ReplyDeleteThe carollers under the cloche are cute, each with their own nutcracker.
I love silver myself and have been using it for a long time - even when the holidays are over.

BEAUTIFUL Barb!!
ReplyDeleteBarb, I'm with your husband on the Christmas color.:) I DO love your mantel though, with the silver and green. Your carolers are adorable and they look so good under the cloche. That deer is so spiffy with his bow, too. Very pretty mantel!
ReplyDeleteOh Barb, it is delightful!
ReplyDeleteI have not begun to decorate yet. Next week all candle things go away and the decorations come out. I am really looking forward to it!!
Barb, beautiful room, carolers look so special under the cloche. I am joining your site, please stop by mine to take a look. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteYou have set a wonderful wintry scene for your darling carolers. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour mantle is a feast for the eyes Barb!
ReplyDeleteThe carolers are just precious!
ReplyDeleteWe knocked out a lot of decorating this past weekend, but we still have a bit more to go. We've taken a different, more deliberate slower approach this year and have simplifed things. I used to feel like I had to have certain things out or it just wouldn't be Christmas ~ this year we're more choosey, putting out what feels right. I'm loving the result :)
Two weeks seems downright scary!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy time...
I tried to comment when you posted this but google was playing up (hey, they're entitled right? ;)).
ReplyDeleteAll so lovely Barb. And I think I'm getting hooked on those glass domes - they add an extra sense of protection while somehow amplifying your lovely objects.
Your home looks lovely. Congratulations on the Decor.
Enjoy,
Teresa
Hi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog and have fallen
head over heels in love with your
decorating. Beautiful!!!
I love your deer. Is it new (as in
bought this year??) and, if so, where
if I may ask? It is so dear...oh no,
did I really say that? :-)
So glad I found your blog. It makes me
happy and smile!
Happy Holidays!
Becky
Hi Becky, thank you for such kind words. I'm so happy you like Bella Vista. Please visit often.
ReplyDeleteThe deer was a gift from my husband at least ten years ago. I don't know where he purchased it. I like it, too.
Merry Christmas,
Barb
