Christmas Tea Tray

A Quiet Time to Reflect on the Season

011

Hi Everyone, I had a chance to share tea with one of my sweet neighbors yesterday. It was such a quiet time in the midst of all the Christmas plans….very welcomed, indeed!

003

I am doing so much baking that I don’t know what to do with it all. My husband’s office and our surrounding neighbors are all broadly smiling because I am stuffing them with cakes and cookies. I love to bake anytime but during Christmas, it just ‘calls to me.’

006

How about a bite of Christmas cake?

008

This was my first Christmas china. I have had it for years and actually don’t even remember where I purchased it. I love Christmas dishes and have several sets, now.

004

Aren’t these napkin rings sweet?

010

I hope your days are going smoothly and that you are enjoying the season and the process. We all need to take a bit of time to sit and have tea or coffee and reflect. This time passes so quickly.

The house is quiet at present and magical with all the lights. May we all know the true spirit of Christmas….the peace and the love. Thanks so much for your visit.

Hi Barb! A Christmas tea sounds lovely. My daughter and I have little impromptu tea parties throughout the year. She's only five, but she loves tea parties! Thanks for sharing your photos!

How sweet of you to bake and share. I would love to be one of your neighbors :)
I sent fudge to work with hubby this morning, the ladies will thank me at first, then they start saying, stop sending all of that stuff to work with him, were eating it all, lol.

Merry Christmas Barb,
What a lovely tea! The cake looks wonderful and your teacups, so pretty!
I was baking all day today and I'm not loving it like I used to. Actually, it's my back that doesn't enjoy it so much. Christmas baking really does bring in the season well; the smells and the variety. It tastes good too! Thank you for sharing with us today.

Christmas blessings,
Sandi

This post just speaks to my heart. My family and I have been taking more time this holiday just to let the peace of this special time of year pervade our hearts and home. Quiet time together sometimes gets lost in the hustle and bustle.

Your sweet Christmas cake looks scrumptious coupled with your precious cups and napkins. What I wouldn't give for tea time with you and some of your baked goods ~ and your wisdom. My life has been too busy this year.

Happy Christmas,
Judy

I wish I had a neighbor around like you. Some tea and a piece of cake would suit me to a tee right now. Well maybe it's a good thing we only visit through our blogs. I'd be eating too many of your delicious looking goodies otherwise. I've been busy wrapping and haven't baked a thing. I hope to towards the end of the week. I think right now might just be the time to take a break and have a cup of tea.

I am finally getting a chance to just relax and enjoy the season. I am finished shopping...I hope, and gifts are wrapped. I have never been this early and I'm happy about it. Now I, too, can enjoy baking and making merry!

Merry CHRISTmas Barb! :) Your lovely holiday tray for two with the scrumptious looking cake reminds me of times I use to have tea with my girlfriend when I lived up north. We'd meet at least once a month...and often would put our things on a tray just like this. The month of December was always so fun to meet and I miss that so much. Embrace that tradition of meeting with your friend like this...it's a GIFT! Again...enjoy the holidays! Lovely post and reminder that it's so important to take time out to love those God has graciously blessed our lives with!

I agree with the other ladies....would

I have a question about the adorable

They are so cute!

Becky, I see you don't have a blog so I will answer your question here and hope you see it.

I found the napkin rings last Christmas at Home Goods. So glad you like them.

Merry Christmas!
