My Thanksgiving Table

A Work From the Heart

014

Hello Everyone, welcome in to my Thanksgiving table. I set it up in the family room as opposed to the dining room…we always seem to do this. This way we can look at the lake. :-)

026

It is no secret that I adore Thanksgiving. It is, by far, my favorite holiday. This day is centered on being thankful and seems much less stressed to me.

028

006

I am turning into a nature lover and these dishes simply spoke to my heart. Each piece displays a different animal, duck or bird.

007

The pheasant dinner plate.

006

The mugs to the set…also shown in the tea post below this one.

015

One side of my centerpiece. My husband cannot believe I love the deer antlers. I am mad for them and hunted for a month to find just the right ones.

016

The other side of the centerpiece.

010

I just love the antler flatware and since I could not find the right napkin rings….I did as I often do, I made my own! Also, and I did not show this well….but I love a napkin inside a napkin; it gives such an ‘abundant’ feel to the presence of the table.

018

023

Thanks so much for coming over to see my table. Hopefully, I will get another chance but if I do not….I wish each and everyone of you a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

Pheasants…Hobby Lobby, Faux Antlers…Pottery Barn, Candle Stick (wrapped in burlap)…Hobby Lobby, Chargers…Home Goods, Dinnerware…Tuesday Morning, Antler Flatware…Bass Pro Shops, Glassware…Old Time Pottery, Placemats…Tuesday morning, Runner…two of my house scarves.

  1. What a beautiful table. I love how you used the touches of burlap on the candle sticks and as a napkin ring too. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for all the bounty nature provides so it's very appropriate that you have taken that twist to your decorating. A very Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you too.

  15. Hi Barb, I came by for by "calming" fix the other day but had no time to comment. I am a terrible typist and with the fur babies always in my lap... sometimes I get distracted lol!

I saw an antler candle holder for three candles at Big Lots the other day. It was not to bad! I love the rustic yet classic feel of you table.

Thanks for dropping by to visit me the other day, love to have company ;)

  18. I also like antlers and have a couple of pair. My husband had been a hunter and mine were hanging in his garage when I married him. I took them down, polished them and paid honor to them. But..I was raised around hunters and fishermen, country men. I find nothing distastful about them or the proud animals they belonged to. There is a rustic and earthy and down home feeling I get from them.
YOu used yours wonderfully. To throw something like that in the trash seems wrong to me.
Your flatware and pheasants go so beautifully with your tablescape. Stunning!

  19. So, so appealing to me...all of it! The colors are my favorite and I love Thanksgiving. As you said, less stress and a time to really be thankful. It has not gotten so comercialized, which I am thankful for! Decorations are simple and earthy and just lovely! Coming over from WOW us Wed! Christie at three pixie lane

  43. Hey there, Barb! Your Thanksgiving table is beautiful, and I love it that you brought so much of nature into it. It just seems to fit! We, too, push furniture aside and set up in the family room. It allows for a larger table that puts the family all together in a single room. I love that! The added bonus of looking out at the lake must be really special!!! The antlers are really cool, and I like those pheasants. I did not see those at our local Hobby Lobby locations, but I really like them. Thanks for letting us know where they came from so I can keep an eye out. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with family and friends. Take care!

If my Hobby Lobby has those pheasants, I don't know how I missed them! Very lovely table and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
