Holly and Silver Tablescape

Setting a Table with Quiet Color

022

Hello Everyone, in looking back over my Christmas tables, I noticed that most of them are drenched in color…so I decided to create a quieter one for this setting. I have noticed,  in general, I seem to gravitate towards softer colors these days.

002

I took creative license with the centerpiece knowing one can’t see around it. I have a smaller vase of flowers I will display when the table is ‘actually’ used.

006

I purchased this Christmas china at Home Goods a couple of years ago and actually forgot I had it until cleaning out my dish cabinet. Is that awful or what?!

016

I am really into silver these days. I have always been a gold girl but silver seems lighter and more reflective to me. I just love it. The flatware is Reed & Barton. Snowflake napkin rings are from Hobby Lobby.

010

I have had the crystal stemware for many years.

013

I flipped when I saw this pair of silver candlesticks in Marshalls. Can you fall in love with candlesticks? Haha.

007

I added the little trees for a touch of whimsy and also because I like my centerpiece ‘filled up.’ I bet you never guessed that, did you? :-)

011

Hope you liked my table and many thanks for your visit today.

That holly themed china is exactly what I would love to find here. And I love those evergreen candles. My late mother used to have quite a few Christmas themed candles that you can't seem to get any more.

As always, your table settings are so elegant Barb!

Oh, you sure can fall in love with candlesticks. I love those forgotten plates too! I saw some napkins at Walmart that almost look like the same pattern!

I love the combinations of the White and the Silver together. What a beautiful setting you have created. As I'm writing this I have a pair of silver candle sticks sitting on the table with little else. Now once again you've given me a little inspiration and I'll have to see what I can come up with.

Very pretty -- and I agree, a table doesn't have to "scream" to be noticed!

The softness of this table is very welcoming. Funny that you forgot you had those beautiful dishes! Like a little surprise gift! I'm really loving silver this year, too.
