A Moment to Breathe

Taking a Bit of Tea Time

002

To say I am busy these days would be putting it mildly. Autumn seems to speed things up for me…so much  to do and plan for. But, for now, I am taking a tea break. Please join me.

007

I am American born and so proud of it but a part of my heart belongs to, and always has, England. I look forward to the Victoria edition on England every year.

008

I won’t eat all that cinnamon bun. Ha. I have a Cocker and a Yorkie who will help me. They only get teeny tiny little bits. ;-)

This blue and white teacup is among my favorites….heheh, oh, goodness, I love all my teacups. What pleasure it is to drink from a beautiful cup and saucer. To stop for a few minutes and reflect. Pure bliss.

  2. Hello Barb! Gorgeous post. I tried to reply via email - wouldn't go through. If you're asking about my A Return to Loveliness party - that post will be up at 5 PM EST - about 30 minutes :)
I was late in getting my post up to share with Cielo's party - Show Off Your Cottage Monday.
Looking forward to seeing your post there soon!
    Thank you,
    Kathy

  8. Hello Barb,
Your teacup is as cute as can be! I love everything about it from the shape of the cup to the slightly scalloped saucer to the dainty motif on it. A lovely cup to sip tea from. Thank you for sharing it with us today and enjoy your week.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  9. My Bentley shares my toast every morning. He is very unhappy with me if I have a bowl of oatmeal instead. And, I have been known, if truth be told, to toast him a piece even if I am having oatmeal. Shhh, our secret!
I have a cup of tea every evening.
I am so excited to get my carolers. I know they aren't the same as Byers...but I think they will be really nice. VPH did have a Thanksgiving one last year...but it must be discontinued...I love her things and have quite a few. So does Liz from Rose Vignettes.

  12. Breathing is good! I've actually taken the past 2 days off of all the busy work, but will have to kick it back in gear tomorrow. We all need to take a break sometimes!

  13. Tea Time with you is always nice. I love cinnamon rolls too! Busy days will only get busier now as the Holidays approach. There is so much to get ready here at my house. September will soon be over. Hope you enjoyed that break.

  15. Another beautiful teacup Barb. I had to laugh at your tea buddies. Every morning Bear and I share one vanilla double stuff oreo cookie. I dip mine in my coffee and he takes his straight. I think if I missed a day he just might go on strike! I'm sure it's not the best think in the world for him but a little cookie happiness can't be beat. Enjoy your break, Patty

  19. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving a comment--had to return the visit. Your blog header is beautiful. I was just sitting down with tea myself and reading about your tea cup was a nice touch to my day. I did a post myself about a tea cup collection. If you're interested, you can find it at http://highpointcircle.blogspot.com/2011/08/teacups-firearms.html. I'm a follower now too. Can't wait to see your next post.

  22. Barb, Lovely tea tray with your beautful tea cup. I'm a huge fan of Victoria magazine and I, like you am a proud American but also an Anglophile. Must be in my genes. :)Enjoy your tea. What is your favorite flavor/brand? Have you tried Twinning's Prince of Wales?

  23. I know the feeling Barb. I feel like I am meeting myself coming and going!

  25. Hi Barb,
Oh your teacup is just lovely. The colors are among my favorites too. I can so relate to being crazy busy. It seems to be earlier this season. Taking time for a cup of tea in such a pretty cup makes the day a little better I think.

Thank you for sharing your tea moment.

    Have a great evening.
    hugs, Celestina Marie
