Trying to Prepare and Get Ready
I’m going to take a couple of days off and do some work to get ready for Hurricane Irene….she is supposed to come our way although I am staying in prayer that she won’t.
Aren’t these roses lovely? They are the most delicate shade of peachy pink. I took the picture during the late evening hours and the color doesn’t show as well. So far, they are my most fragrant roses this summer.
Take good care and I’ll see you soon.
Barb
I am glad you are taking the threat seriously. Praying that you receive only the benefit of good rain without the hazards of wind and flooding.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Friend. Take care. Can I just say again how happy I am that you are back to this lovely, lovely, blog? Well, I am!!
They are lovely! We're praying the storm doesn't come through your area...and ours! Of course we don't want it to do damage anywhere! ♥
ReplyDeleteOh my friend, I am praying for you all! I just watched on TV about the path that she may or hopefull MAY NOT take! "God please keep my friend and her beautiful home full of pretties safe! AMEN"
ReplyDeleteBig hugs dear Barb!
It is best to be ready for sure. For several years one of my sons lived where hurricanes became a part of his life and I do know what that is like. I'll be praying for you and all those that might be affected by that hurricane. Dear Lord, calm the storm. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I haven't been keeping up with the weather news and was unaware of the hurricane. It is that time of year again, isn't it? I hope it misses you and God will keep you safe.
ReplyDeleteBlessings~
I'll be praying the storm does not make landfall... and be awaiting your safe return to blogland.

The roses are beautiful! Praying for you all down there. We'll be visiting our daughter in late September and hoping for good weather then too. Hope the storm doesn't materialize into a raging one!
ReplyDeleteBarb I have been watching the news and praying that the storm will pass you by! I will keep you and yours in my prayers! God bless and keep you!

I am sure you have had to do this before in your life. I pray that it goes a different direction and that God keeps you safe. The roses are so pretty! Take care friend!
ReplyDeleteWill be keeping you and others in my thoughts and prayers as Hurricane Irene comes towards the coast. I hope you stay safe and that the storm passes by you. Take care.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cindy
Barb - me too. I just posted a similiar post. Where are you at? I'm in Eastern NC. About an hour from Wilmington. Praying this thing turns out to sea and no one has to take the brunt. Thinking of you. Blessings, Barb
ReplyDeleteOooo! God protect you and yours! I was living at ground zero in Charleston, SC during Hurricane Hugo some twenty odd years ago. Seems like yesterday - don't ever want to go through that again! Bless you!
ReplyDeleteJoy!
Miss Kathy
Let's hope Irene heads out to sea! I love peachy pink roses. They remind me of sherbert push ups and how the colors merge. Like a melted sunset!
ReplyDeleteI hope it passes you and the whole of Florida. All my kids live there too. Will join you in prayers, Barb...Christine
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
ReplyDeleteLord, please protect this house and all who are within. No flooding, no destruction in, Jesus name, amen!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses, Barb! And it looks like Irene's going far enough east of us to not be a problem...
ReplyDeleteJeanni
Maybe Irene is just full of wind and will die down faster than the wind it took her to blow up....I have family in Florida and a cousin in North Carolina..and we are on the East Coast so she is being watched by me..Hope you escape any harm that this lady brings...prayers for all.
ReplyDeleteI hope she stands you up! And how does one get ready for a hurricane? Seriously, prayers for you.

The roses are beautiful!
Hi Barb, Prayers for you for the storm on it's way. I only hope it goes out to sea.
