Weary, Worn Out and Happy

The picture above is the "Weary Ballerina" by Lladro. It is my favorite in my Lladro collection and describes me perfectly this week.

Let me explain.....while waiting for my new puppy to do his thing in the backyard, I plopped down on the steps leading to the lake. All of a sudden I thought, why don't I rake the backyard? It is in the 70's and springlike.....just gorgeous. Well, the raking led to pulling weeds, cleaning out leaves and so forth from the winter and on and on. I just couldn't stop.
I am downright worn out but happy, happy. :-) There is nothing like digging in the dirt for me. It renews my spirit and removes the winter blues. I am sore, tired, pooped and contented.
What more could a girl ask for? Sending spring hugs to all of you....a little bit early. :-)

I just came in from doing the same thing:) I swept around the pool, swept the back porch and even swept the driveway! ALL of that after I pulled weeds:) YES it does feel good, it has been such extremely nice weather! Enjoy your evening my friend, kick your feet up and relax a little! HUGS!

Lovely figurine, Barb! The roses your hubby gave you are just gorgeous! I do love roses myself. It will be quite a while before any of us can dig in the dirt here. We are quite covered up under a heavy blanket of snow at the moment. Trade yah!

Blessings,
Sandi

I am so happy that it is so spring like for you...days like that are wonderful and the fresh air really does wear you out. You need a good soak in a bubble bath and an early bed time!

Barb it's a good kind of SORE isn't it? I'll have to feel spring through you because it was 30 here this morning in the beautiful Northwest.Plants are trying to peek through the dirt but not warm enough yet. Enjoy your day!

What a wonderful way to be tired. Working outside sounds like a little bit of heaven to me. Glad you are having such wonderful weather there.

I have actually debated climbing over snow piles to prune and cut back some bushes and shrubs here....because it is so nice out there...but then I don't. Must be the snow. lol

I know that wonderful feeling of which you speak. Good for you!

Barb, that is a beautiful piece of Lladro. And, your weary makes me happy for you. It is good that our hearts find places and things to bring us joy and peace.

I hope to see you at Pink Saturday.

You're so right. You don't normally think of weary and worn out as being a state of happiness, but if you've accompished something you wanted to do, then it sure is!

Hi Barb...

Ohh my...I bet you are pooped! I know that I would be...if I had done all that you did! Bet it looks great though...there is nothing more rewarding than the sense of accomplishment! It will be awhile yet before we can get out in our yards to work here in Colorado. I do think that I'm beginning to catch spring fever though! Hehe!

Well dear lady, thank you for sharing your beautiful Lladro, "Weary Ballerina"...she is sooo pretty! I can certainly see why she is your favorite! I hope that my note finds you and your sweet family all doing well, sweet lady!

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design
