I am working away in my studio. I have definitely bitten off more than I can chew….the job is massive. I just came in like a whirlwind and tore it all apart. Oh my! I have a different concept in mind for the reworking of this area. I don’t craft nearly as much as I once did, so….I am reworking it into a writer’s studio, crafting and sitting areas. Thankfully, it is a large space but, I am up to my ears in work.
I have also decided to rework the accessories in the Family Room and pull out more of the blue color! I sometimes question my sanity. Haha.
Is it a curse or a blessing to be creative?
Thinking of all of you.
I think it's a blessing to be creative. I can't wait to see what you do. Sometimes change is good. If you don't craft as much as before, why not make it more of a room you will enjoy. Don't work too hard! Linda
ReplyDeleteYou are really taking on a lot right now. You can do it and I'm sure you will show us when you are done.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all your ideas. I shall look forward to seeing them all come to fruition.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet Barb...definitely a blessing! Just take your time and enjoy the process! I can't wait to see what you have been up to...I am sure it will be beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGood Afternoon Barb..I would love to have a special room to fill with my creative juices. Working out of a cold garage now. I can hardly wait to see your finished project. Take the time to enjoy the journey!

Good question. But I think it's more of a blessing. I always feel sorry for people who just can't seem to pull a room together, or who do not care if it looks good or not! LOL!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it.
hugs
Sissie
Always a blessing, never a curse...These roses are beautiful, take time to smell the roses..
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day,
~Shirley
Barb I definitely think it is a blessing! Because I get to see all the wonderful things you create!
ReplyDeleteYour readers get such a blessing from your creativity! So it must be a blessing!
ReplyDeleteLove YOU!
Barb, it is always a blessing to be creative. That's what makes life interesting. Change is good! I know your space is going to be delightful with your changes. Wish I had a nice studio to change up. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave fun! ~ Sarah
It is a definitely a blessing. Can you imagine not having any projects? I know if I didn't have projects I would go stir crazy. A girl can only blog just so much! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the finished results.
Have a blessed week, Sue
With you, it is definitely a blessing! You do such a great job. Can't wait to see your studio and family room when you get them changed. Be sure to share with us!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Kathy
It's MOST definitely a blessing...we feel more and enjoy life more! Hugs to you! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteIt certainly can be a little of both, but in your case I would say a blessing for sure. The curse would come I suppose from when your mind never wants to stop from all the ideas forming in your head. I am sure it will be lovely and spell Barb all over.
ReplyDeleteJumping into a project like this certainly can feel overwhelming but the results will be so very worth all the pain and mess!! Know it will be just wonderful after the dust has cleared!
ReplyDeletebee blessed
mary
Definitely a blessing, and your beautiful blog has blessed so many...Hugs...Jill
ReplyDeleteBarb,
ReplyDeleteI have been sort of doing the same thing since last year. I am in the final stages and it just starting to work for me. I needed to organize my space and my stuff.
I know you will be just thrilled when it is all done.
Carol
Creating your special space is a wonderful idea. I still have aspirations of crafting but Lots could just be thrown out and I'd never miss it. It will be wonderful when you've got it just the way you want it.
ReplyDeleteI think we all know just what you mean. We will stand here and cheer you. It will be wonderful when your vision comes to fruition.
ReplyDeleteI am agreeing with everyone else Barb; it's a blessing. Why not make this a place you can go to and enjoy doing so many things you love. Can't wait to see what changes you make.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing what you are doing.
ReplyDeleteI am doing a bit of "rearranging" too.:-)
I once decided to re-paper my then infant daughter's bedroom. The room was small, I figured a weekend's work. Max. Ooo baby, two weeks later ..... LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou'll see light at the end of the tunnel eventually Barb. As the saying goes, if it's worth doing, it's worth doing right.
It is a blessing Barb, you are such a creative person and this will help them creative juices flow even more. Plus we all get to share in the after. can't wait to see what you do my friend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Anna
Since I get pretty messy when creating I'll say it's both a blessing and a curse! LOL! You've got me motivated though, maybe I'll go "play" some this afternoon.
ReplyDeleteIn your case, it is a blessing but what you do ends up working! In my case, I can visualize what I want but can't get there!! I can't wait to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteIt's both! ;)
ReplyDeleteBut like anything else in life, you have to take the good with the bad...like change!
Enjoy the reordering of your room - I'm sure it'll be all the more special once you give it your magic touch!
Judy@cutest-little-things
What a wonderful BLESSING to have a place to call your won! I can't wait to see it! I know it must be FUN to work on a space like that! Hope you are enjoying it!!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are doing well. It sounds like you are keeping very busy! I also think it is a blessing to be creative. :) Even though it is a lot of work to redo your studio, enjoy the process, and your creativity! Have a blessed week... xo
For the most part I think being creative is a blessing, speaking for myself anyway...
ReplyDeleteI very seldom get bored, because I can always find some creative way to entertain myself!!
But I think I get what you mean about the curse part too... because I know I feel like I've got to be changing things constantly!
Plus I'm always my own worst critic about everything I do.
I'm sure your studio will turn out wonderful Barb!! Have fun!!
Hugs, Sherri:)
Sherri:)

Do I wish I had someone that lived near me to help at my house. I am not creative at all when it comes to decorating. So, a blah house. Wanna come to CA when you are done?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rearranging my studio. I hope you are having a WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL time!
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentines Day!
Love and hugs! Karen
Good luck. A large clean out can be such an undertaking - but oh so worth it! I can't wait to see how it all turns out.
