Happy Weekend

What Are You Doing

003Hi Bloggy Buddies, hope you have a wonderful weekend. Do you know what you are doing yet?

We will be working and playing just a little…mostly working, but we’re getting some much needed things done and that makes me smile. I hate things hanging over my head that need to be done.

 011

I will also continue with my baking. Yesterday, I made Halloween cupcakes for my husband’s office. Boy, was that fun! I also treated myself to one…….yikes! So delicious. :-) I just can’t stay out of the kitchen during this time of year; everything sounds so wonderful. Can you hear my stand mixer humming away? Ha.

Have a grand weekend.

Ideas Galore

A Wonderful Magazine

TB 2I purchased this wonderful new magazine over the weekend and can hardly take my eyes off it. Although the cover hints of Christmas, the magazine also covers Fall and Thanksgiving in detail. The pictures are just out of this world.

Pumpkins 3

I am a pumpkin loving girl….anything with pumpkins sets my heart a flutter! :-)

TB 3

The vignettes in the magazine are to die for and the ideas just abound.

TB 4Isn’t this gorgeous?!!!!! Be still my heart.

I was sitting up in bed with it last evening and my husband just kept asking if I was ever going to turn that light out? Men! Ha.

Thought you might like a sneak peek. Have a blessed day!

Baking, Cooking & Puttering

The Joys of  Fall

007 Hello Everyone, I hope you are enjoying this lovely and refreshing weather. It was a long, hot summer in Florida and this is such a blessed change. Love it!

010

I have set aside this afternoon to bake and cook….yes, I am one of those people who actually enjoy it. Baking, especially, relaxes me. And, the wonderful scents wafting through the house are divine. I think I will make the two recipes that you see above from the newest Autumn Gooseberry cookbook.

011

I am making lasagna for dinner with hot buttered bread and a big green salad. I know this will put a huge smile on my hubs face. :-) He thinks we are eating out. (*wink*)

014

I wanted to show you the latest candle topper I found. It is all about Fall, of course.

I’m starting to think about Halloween decorating. How about you? Sometimes I do a huge spider web on the front window with a heavy, heavy thread but it takes several hours. The little kids just love it.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend and have wonderful weather.

Granny Smith Apples~Decorating & Eating

One of Fall’s Delights

006 Do you ever decorate with fruit? I do.

During this time of year, I display bowls of Granny Smith apples (my favorite) and oranges throughout our home. The colors and gentle fragrances just fill me with joy. :-)

004

This compote of beauties will go into a delicious APPLE CRISP tomorrow for dinner. I will miss seeing them on my family room coffee table. I have had them displayed for a couple of days and they just make me smile each time I walk through this room.

The beautiful harvest of Autumn…..does it get any better?

Have a cool and lovely week.
