A Table for my Husband
I am setting a romantic table for my sweet husband as a special treat. He has been working really hard on several home projects just for me…so he is definitely worth it! I am a blessed woman to be married to a romantic man so I know he will appreciate this.

Family Room Coffee Table Vignette
This is the coffee table in our family room. I draped a throw over it for color and added a few touches. I don’t place as many things on my tables as I used to. I know some of you will laugh at this but you should have seen me several years ago……yikes, I just couldn’t get enough items on a table. :-)
I am really into ‘keys’ right now….especially keys with little words on them. Also, you may have guessed that I love color…I do. I love whites and lots of color…..I love it all!!

Changing Things Around
I absolutely love shelves and playing around with them. I recently decided to give my family room sweet cottage hutch a lighter and more springtime look. I am starting to decorate with more whites all the time. My darling husband just shakes his head and says…..’Here we go again.’ Don’t you love it? Ha…ha. Of course, I had to incorporate a rooster…..gracious goodness!!! :-)

Fitz and Floyd Beauties
I really wanted to be a part of the beautiful tabletop vignettes this week but I am up to my ears in redoing and painting on my sitting room….I am tooooo excited! So I am posting a tabletop from last Spring. These are my Fitz and Floyd parrots that I have had for many years. I just adore them and they are always a part of my spring decorating.
The colors are so soft…they simply ‘melt’ into my spring vignettes.

Spring….Such a Magical Time of the Year
I am taking out some of my Easter things today and I had to show you this little bunny. Isn’t she just the cutest? I am totally in love with her…she makes me smile! You have to know that I can get excited over the smallest little things. True!
Oh, I wanted to mention about my last post….I am not getting rid of the pink things in our home…only covering the last of the pink walls. I love, love pink and I will never not have a home without this charming color. We are making steady progress on my little room (see post below) and chose our new tile this morning. So happy I have a handy husband….thank you, Lord.
Look at the new Victoria magazine…..well, I know how I will spend part of Sunday! Ha.

Keeping a Positive Attitude
We had a terrible rainstorm yesterday….it poured buckets of rain! I never thought anything about it and late last evening I decided to pop into my little sitting room and check my blog on my laptop. Holy cow, what was that wet feeling that I was stepping into?? Well, the rain had crept into a hairline crack in my little room and soaked my beautiful white carpet.
For about thirty minutes I thought about getting upset. Wow, I have to laugh at myself! Then I decided to turn the whole situation around. So, today we are ripping out the carpet so we can tile the floor and we took all the books off the massive shelves….from floor to ceiling….yep, I am a book nut. We are going to paint the whole room cottage white instead of the present pink that’s in there. This will cover the last of the pink in our home. Yikes…did I say that?
I am thinking of turning it into a shabby chic little haven of white wicker and floral fabrics. What do you think? I am blessed that my husband can do all the work…..I do the sewing. :-) He lets me decorate any way I please and always has. How blessed I am. Also, how blessed I feel to have chosen to look at this situation as a silver lining instead of a dark cloud.

Spring Makes Me Want to Get Up and Get Going
Hello Bloggy Buddies, how is everyone doing? Do you ever ‘play’ in your home? I do….all the time. In fact, I can’t seem to stop. Spring just seems to be in my blood this year. Things are being switched from one place to another…all over the house. Yes, my husband wants to know what in the world is going on….but truthfully, he is used to it. :-)
I am being held captive by a spring fairy….but, I’m not complaining!! Ha. Hope you are well and happy!

My Beautiful Fitz and Floyd Spring Bunny
This is my buffet in our kitchen set for spring….well, for now, anyway! Next to roosters, rabbits are my all time favorite. The rabbit shown is my very favorite of all the ones I have…he is a Fitz and Floyd and makes me happy each time I see him. The little lamp is an antique given to me by my husband. The cookbook holder has been reinvented to hold my Susan Branch calendar.

Changing Things Around…Which I Do A Lot
I’m on a decorating kick….do you ever get on those? Right now, it is white pitchers for me, I can’t get enough!
I took all the Lladro figurines out of this cabinet in my dining room (I scattered them all over the house) and replaced them with white pitchers and bunnies. I am so ready for spring. Now, I smile each time I walk past this cabinet.
