They Are Everywhere in Our Home

  

One of the things I am busy doing is taking all my rabbits and bunnies out of closets and storage to put on tables, under tables and just about everywhere. I love these little ceramic critters and they never fail to bring a smile to my face. Maybe a part of me didn’t grow up. Ha…ha! I hope so!!!

The bunnies above are a part of my spring mantel in our bedroom from last year….don’t you love the way pictures make you remember? Ooooo, I do.

A Quick Hello

Checking In and Working Hard

Hello dear Bloggy Buddies, just popping in to say a quick hi. I am getting so much done! But….blogging gets into your blood, doesn’t it? I miss all of you and will be back shortly to visit your blogs; looking forward to that!

I am tweaking the house for spring…my second favorite season. It is chilly in Florida but the sun is shining so brightly that it makes your heart sing. We are planting new grass in our front yard and what a job. Whew! Also trimming away all the dead things from the intense cold we had in January.

I have already changed out two cabinets and will show these in one of the memes….so exciting! I have  purchased some new pillows…..like I need more. :-) I am addicted to pillows and my sweet husband never sits down without having to push 2 or 3 out of his way. Yikes! He never says a word….God bless him.

Also found time to change my blog design. Yep, I am a changer….is that a word? Ha. I love color and can’t get enough of it. It makes me happy so you will always see lots of color changes with Bella Vista.

A Little Time For Me

I have decided to give myself a little ‘me time’ this afternoon. I have had a busy day and feel the need to now spend some time on myself. What better way to do this than with a new magazine (and a great one, at that!) and a cup of hot cinnamon tea.  I am a great believer in the fact that you must take care of yourself if you are going to take care of others.

Thinking of Spring

Today is so beautiful and sunny….just a gorgeous day. I decided to put together a little tray of white pitchers on my dining room table. There is something so fresh about white pitchers to me and I never tire of them. When I pair them with daisies…well,  they just say ‘spring is in the air.’

Valentines is a very special day for my husband and myself. We were engaged to be married on this special holiday. We usually go out to celebrate but I like to set up a little table for dessert just for the two of us anyway. How about some strawberries, some chocolates and a little wine? You can’t beat that, can you?!

China Cabinet

Filled with Things that Mean So Much to Me

This is the china cabinet in our living room. I have recently redone it and it is a mixture of things I love and adore. The china is very special to me as it was a gift from my husband for our first wedding anniversary. He chose it himself and said it reminded him of me……yes, I am blessed to have such a romantic husband!

I have added several pieces of my shell pink milk glass. I started this collection years ago after seeing it in a friend’s home. I haven’t collected it for quite a while because it is so hard to find. I also placed two of my Lladros in the cabinet.

Baking Day!

I Can Feel the Mood Coming On

  

I’m in a baking and cooking mood today…do you ever get like that? The wind is blowing like crazy outside and it is just not one of those days to be out and about. I love days like this because I can cozy up inside and fill the house with wonderful baking smells.  I am also ‘playing’ in the house….another favorite thing to do. Just have to move those things around! I hope your weekend is going great!

A Winter Table

My Silvery and Icy Wonderland 

 

I have been so inspired by all the snow covered winter scenes I have seen in Blogland. I live in Florida and we don’t see any of this. Ha! So….I created my own icy and snowy tablescape.  This table is so unusual for me as it is void of color, but I quickly fell in love with it. I hope you enjoy it too.

 

The dishes are from Gibson, the flatware is Reed and Barton, the crystal votives and crystal trees have been collected for years, the silver deer are from Marshalls, the silver chargers are from Hobby Lobby, the napkins and napkin rings are from Bed Bath and Beyond, the crystal…I have had for years.

Corner Cabinet

Filled with Green in the Living Room

This is a corner cabinet in our living room that I change out seasonally. I adore the mossy green that I have put in it for the Spring season. This particular color of green is all over our home. It speaks to my spirit and seems to just ‘wake me up!’

I found the silver measuring spoons just recently. They have roosters and sunflowers on them. Yes, I am the Rooster Queen. Ha.

 

I sprinkled in a couple of my pink milk glass pieces….I have a large collection of this and I’m always trying to find places to fit it in.
