Happy Weekend

What Are You Doing

003Hi Bloggy Buddies, hope you have a wonderful weekend. Do you know what you are doing yet?

We will be working and playing just a little…mostly working, but we’re getting some much needed things done and that makes me smile. I hate things hanging over my head that need to be done.

 011

I will also continue with my baking. Yesterday, I made Halloween cupcakes for my husband’s office. Boy, was that fun! I also treated myself to one…….yikes! So delicious. :-) I just can’t stay out of the kitchen during this time of year; everything sounds so wonderful. Can you hear my stand mixer humming away? Ha.

Have a grand weekend.

Barb

Enjoy your weekend, Barb! I'll be in my kitchen, as well...with Halloween cookie cutters piled a mile high, knee deep in holiday sprinkles, sugars, icings, and recipes! Eek!!! :) :)

I just got back from the Craft Fair at the Mall so I'm inspired and happy with the things I've seen...and bought! Enjoy your weekend! It was 57 degrees when we came home at noon...getting a little chilly here! See you soon! ♥

It sounds like you are happily doing things that need to be done...and making others happy while you do so. How delighted Ron's coworkers must have been. I'll bet the scents from your home are just delightful!

Hi Barb!
I bet your kitchen smells divine. I've been in the mood to bake something with apples, but have not been to the orchard YET. I haven't had ONE apple yet this season. Waaa!

I hope you have a weekend as lovely as you.
Hugs,
Mardell

I love to cook too. I am thinking of making some cheese puffs or cheese straws.Take 1 cup self-rising flour, 3 cups shredded hoop cheese, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes and mix. Shape into balls or pipe from a bag to make a shape and bake them at 325 until done. I also am thinking about making some peanut brittle for Halloween.

I need to make something with my apples. They've decorated my sideboard for some time and need to be used so I guess I'll be turning on my oven this weekend. Pie, cake, I'm not so sure what. Have a wonderful weekend!

We have football tomorrow but I just finished up two loaves of delicious smelling banana nut bread and 2 large pans of brownies, 1 with walnuts, one plain. Some will go to our new neighbors as a welcome gift and some is going to our other neighbor for her to freeze and use as needed. She's 4 weeks from her baby due date! The house smells wonderful and I've already cleaned up the kitchen (the part I hate)! I doubled both recipes so I would have plenty. Hope my math was right!

Oh Barb there are a million things I want to get around to, but I think the garden will be at the top of the list. Then maybe I will work on a painting or two! Have a wonderful weekend...

I could bake every day if I could just withstand the temptation to sample all of it! I have all the ingredients for some very tasty treats, but I can see them being applied to my hips!! ;-D

Have a great weekend, Barb!

Jane

We're celebrating my older daughter's birthday this weekend (it's next week). Should be fun! I haven't done too much baking recently, though I have some recipes I'd like to try soon.

Have a lovely weekend! :)

We picked up our grandsons tonight. They are just barely 2 and 3 1/2. So, it will be a busy weekend at our house. There are a couple of fall family things in our area tomorrow with kid events...if we can keep the rain away, we will probably take them there. It will be a weekend with little sleep, lots of apple juice and sticky hugs and kisses!

I need some of your energy up here:) I can't seem to get motivated to do some much needed decorating around my house! Hope you have a great weekend and not many plans here which is a good thing for a change! HUGS!

Hi Barb
I looked for, and found the Victoria Holiday Bliss magazine after seeing yours. What a delight, it started me thinking about Christmas decorations already.
This weekend we're coming to the end of a kitchen reno and I've been working at cleaning up drywall dust.

I've been in the kitchen a lot lately, too. I made a pumpkin cobbler. So good and smells wonderful while cooking.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Those cupcakes sounds delicious Barb. I'm just back from two weeks in Canada, visiting family. Along with jet lag I brought home a doozy of a cold. So I'm spending my weekend catching up on some housekeeping and napping.

It has been a long time since I have visited your Blog. I figured I would see how it is going. The weekend is almost over. It went by fast, but with much excitement as the SF Giants won their 4th game yesterday putting them in the World Series. We cannot wait to see them play at home this week and win. It has been years. Other than that, no sun today, a lot of rain and wind and leaves. It is supposed to clear up by late morning tomorrow. Will be nice to get some sun this week. I miss the Summer already. Hope you have a wonderful week.

I love those acorns you have on your post! I am a fan of watching squirrels this time of year. Theyve had a ball out there under the oak trees looking for acorns and in the pecan trees and are they are getting fat and furry.I have a post with that squirrel on the acorn dish.
