They Always Make Me Smile
Hi Everyone….do you like/love shells? I do. They are everywhere in the beautiful state I live in….Florida. I have shells out in almost every room in the summer and place them in cabinets year round. They seem to ‘fit in’ with the Cottage Lifestyle so well.
I do hope you are enjoying your summer. It is very warm here and I must admit I am not a summer person…so I am struggling a bit. Air conditioning is a beautiful thing! :-)

Oh yes, what would we do without air conditioning? I love your shells. Wish I lived close enough to gather some off a beach.

I love the beach and I collect shells. I have some rooms that are beach themed. We've had a nice cool down here this evening and I was able to enjoy some time on the patio. Air conditioning is a blessing.

I can handle Summer better than the bitter cold Winter as long as my A/C is working. :-D. I can cool down faster than warm up. Like your background music!

I am in love with shells! I usually have them in my bathroom but in the summer they get to come out and play in my living room!
I needed some "beauty" this early morning and I knew exactly where to come. Thanks for the help. The shells do add so much to the decor, and make me feel like one brings the beach indoors. My mother has a place in the same state as you and she incorportates them into the decor too. I love to see that look.
As for you not being a summer person...me neither. I thank God every single day for air conditioning. Really, I do. Many of my friends are summer people so it is fun to find those who are not. Beautiful post again!
I agree about air conditioning. I couldn't live without it. That said, though, I am NOT a winter person at all, and since winter seemed to last for 8 months (October through May), I am loving the warmth...but when I get too uncomfortable, I just go inside and enjoy the AC.
I, too, love shells. When we moved from Florida, we brought a big box of shells with us. Right now, that is as close to the beach as we are getting. And all of us are going into beach withdrawals.

Your shells are beautiful Barb; I love them too. It's been so hot and humid here too.
I also have shells everywhere...in my home in Illinois. They remind me of the places I love the most!
I love your beautiful shells! I think when you live in a "beach" area...that is the PERFECT decoration!!! We haven't even been swimming in our pool until later in the evening because it is SOOOOOO HOT!!! I absolutely LOVE my air conditioning!!!!♥
I love shells and have decorated with them for years. They are probably in every room of my house as well as in my yard. I love summer, but I will certainly be happy when my air conditioner is working again! Supposedly they will have all the work done next week.

Oh Barb, your shells are just beautiful. I too have collected shells from our travels and have many, but I keep mine in large glass containers. I sure love what you have done with some of yours.
