A Collector’s Passion
Gracious me….yes, I am still here. I’ve had one of those ‘lightbulb over the head’ kind of moments and I am moving the house around again. It is a good thing my husband loves me. I think I do try his patience a bit because I am in some respects….a changer of things. I think you see your things all over again when they are moved. This is sane thinking…is it not? Ha….ha. If not, don’t tell me….just let me go on my merry way. (*wink*)
I am fast becoming a plate addict…yikes and wanted to show you the new plates I found to add to my living room mantel….for now, that is! Aren’t they pretty? They give me the English Garden feel I so dearly love.
I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day. Stay safe and enjoy your loved ones. Will chat soon.
Hugs, Barb

I'm a constant changer of things as well. So I totally understand, Barb! It's good, I think. Gives you a new perspective of what you already own.

LOL! Barb, over time I have seen so many plates on your blog that I also have. I buy them for display and usually get just one. I just got one of these a few weeks ago! So funny! I thought the same thing, English garden, would look great with the red transferware! Now if I could just find that pretty rooster plate!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dawn
Very lovely, Barb. As always, your home evokes tranquility and beauty - in every detail :)
ReplyDeleteHope your Memorial Day weekend was good!
Hugs,
Judy@cutest-little-things
Oh yes! I love plates too. In fact, I just got one of those red transferware rooster plates at Home Goods on Saturday. Love you mantle.
ReplyDeleteA girl can never have to many plates and yours look just perfect on the mantle. Love the rooster plate!
ReplyDeleteLove your plates Barb; so pretty. I see no problem with your addiction either; I just don't know where to store all of them.
ReplyDeleteLove the plates, Barb but I am in love with the Lladro figure...Christine
ReplyDeleteLove the plates. I agree about changing things around...it is always a way to freshen the house a bit.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely plates ~ and a beautiful blog. Thank you for visiting mine. It's always nice to meet new friends. I'll be peeking again soon to see what you're up to.

Those plates are GORGEOUS, I can see why you love them! Your whole mantle looks lovely. Hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.♥
ReplyDeleteI LOVE change and yours are just delightful!! You certainly have a talent for making things warm and cozy and so interesting! HOW pretty everything is!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

I love roses and your display of dishes is so vintage and inviting. I am always looking for dishes with a rose theme and you have found a treasure in your rose dishes.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it just sets the whole mood for your house! The colors are so light and summery. Can you pack it all in a box and ship it to me?
ReplyDeleteyou might want to stop by and enter my plate giveaway. just click on the button on my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteClearly it's my addiction too! But things could be worse, right?
ReplyDeleteI love that chintz pattern by Johnson Bros. but have resisted. It is very similar to so many other plates that I have. I must admit seeing those on your mantel is making my will weaken a bit. Hmmm...maybe. After all, one can never have too many plates!
I'm hosting a new meme, "Summer Sundays". It's all about what summer means to YOU! Perhaps you can come join in the fun.

I was drawn to the picture of your new chintz plates. They remind me of my mother as this was the pattern of her "every day dishes". I like the rooster plate too.
ReplyDeleteI also like to use plates to decorate my home. My husband likes to tease me about them though. He says plates are to eat off of, not to put on the wall. LOL
