It is Truly the Best Medicine
I have an antique table in our family room with a tray on it that says…’laugh often.’ I purchased this tray sometime ago and never much thought about it. (I adore trays and and have them everywhere) Suddenly, this tray just starting calling out to me…..not so much the tray as what it was saying. Do you laugh often?
I haven’t been feeling well lately so I decided to start laughing more…..yes, I am going somewhere with this. Heeee! I put in some Britcom DVD’s I purchased from Amazon.com and I have laughed my head off for the last five days….I truly believe this is the reason I am beginning to feel better even though I have had some serious sinus issues. I love, love British comedy….it just totally appeals to me.
Start laughing….you may be surprised that you haven’t done it for a while and how it makes you feel.
Thank you for all the lovely comments/emails about my sinus/cold problems. I do so appreciate all of you and your unending thoughtfulness. How special you are!

I laugh so much, I need a face lift to get rid of the laugh lines:) Hope you feel all better! Big 'ole hugs and prayers coming your way!
I find humor in the most unexpected places. I always say the lines (wrinkles) at the corners of my eyes and mouth are from laughing, not aging:-).
I love those British comedies, oh yes I do. I should order them from Amazon. One of yours isn't Keeping Up Appearances, is it? I love that one. Of course, I love them all. Many of them are very old and I've seen them again and again...but always enjoy and laugh everytime I see them. J likes them too.
Beautiful!! I love coming here. I pray you will feel much better, soon.
Hugs,
andrea
Laughter is the best medicine for sure. Glad to hear you are starting to feel better. I have never laughed so much in a long time as I have the past month watching my grandson. He is just so cute and he is full of smiles. He talks too with the baby sounds that are a delight to the ear. goo goo ga ga...I feel so great that I must agree it is wonderful to laugh! Take good care and keep up with the laughter!
Laughter is the best medicine! We all should laugh more in life, and British comedy is a good source. Hope you get better soon.
Keep laughing! ~ Sarah
I love it Barb, and yes indeed laughing is so good for the soul, I am a constant laugher, at times when maybe I should not even, it is just me, and I love life, and I love to see humor in all things, great and small, and have fun doing it. Hugs Barbara
I try to make sure there's a good dose of laughter every day. Fortunately, our whole family is like that so we have a good time. You were smart to pop in the comedy videos. :) I do hope you start feeling better soon. Chronic sinus problems are terrible!

Love your tray Barb. I keep reading that laughing releases feel good endorphins and I truly believe it. Glad you are feeling better.
Oh which one are you watching? I love British sitcoms. One of my favorites is "The Good Neighbors". I've watched every episode a 100 times and I still find it funny!
Hope you feel better soon!

I would be considered a person that laughs a lot. I've always said: The one thing I'm most proud of is I gave my (now grown) girls the gift of laughter. It's good for the soul and whatever ails you!
Brenda
Oh, I so agree with you! Laughter cures many MANY ills! So glad you are better, dear friend! Beautiful tray, beautiful vignette!

Laughter truly is the BEST medicine in so many situations in life. I am going to remember this in the next couple weeks, because I will need all the laughs I can get. Keep smiling Barb...because when you do...it makes me smile!
I laugh everyday. The people I work with are so much fun! Plus I am a Preschool Teacher and share in laughter with my little ones each day. I am glad you are feeling better and I loved this post, yet again! Nancy from OHIO
Morning Barb! Laughter? What's that???lol Just kidding - stressful week!!lol lol Love the tray, very pretty BUT that cute key really caught my eye!! I'm wondering if anyone else heard this growing up. My parents would say when my brother and I were being too goofy - "after laughing comes crying!" isn't that a stupid saying??? I think when I laugh too much now I fear something bad will happen! So so silly! I wonder if that was a saying back in the 50's or if I'm alone in hearing that? ANYWAY Hope you are feeling normal more and more each day and you have a fantastic weekend!!! Sincerely, Jeannette
Love that tray! Laughter is so good for the soul. Have you ever watched "As Time Goes By" with Judi Dench? That's my favorite British comedy. My girls bought me the series a few years ago...I love to bring it out and watch several episodes at a time. It always makes laugh!! Thanks for sharing. :)
I hope that you feel better sweetie very soon. Not fun to go through that. I love your laugh tray! I agree, there is nothing better than laughter. Big hugs!
