Strawberries!!

They are So Plump and Delicious

008

011My husband and I drove over to the strawberry fields today…not knowing what we would find with all the cold weather we have had. Look what we found! Aren’t they beautiful and the fields were just gorgeous. We bought lots to make desserts and new recipes. How fun!

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.

O my goodness, those look so good, Barb. It's good to hear FL has strawberries. From what we've been hearing, we were not so sure! Maybe some of them will show up in our stores, here.

Oh, that's good to know! I can't wait to get some fresh strawberries! I bought a little carton at the grocery store but I would love to buy them where they are grown! Yummy! ♥

We, too, were worried that strawberries would cost an arm and leg because of the freezes all around. So so glad to see these!

YUM! The strawberry fields around here are empty and bare. But soon!
I lost your button on my sidebar. In fact I lost all three of them. My blogger is acting up - it won't let me place anything lower than 8 "gadgets" down. No matter what I do!
Very frustrating!
I hope to figure it out soon and have you "up and running" again!
Hugs! Karen

There were berries in the grocery a couple of days ago, but I did not check them out to see what they looked like.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

The strawberries look wonderful! I have a patch in my yard and I make strawberry preserves with them. I have to wait 'til June though! Makes me want to buy some now. I think I will!!! Thanks for showing them!

Very luscious looking, Barb! Your beautiful photo makes my mouth water. Have you tried yogurt sweetened with honey to drizzle over them? Yummo!

I, too, did a mention of strawberries in my TTablescape. I have a neat method of removing the core & stem with a straw.

What a blessing! Those strawberries look so nice. I know some will head our way to the grocery stores but I know they won't be half as tasty as those fresh ones you were able to get.

Here is the perfect reason to be in Florida in the winter. Those look divine!

They're beautiful!
You know, when I lived in PA (I called it exile each winter), I craved PC strawberries beginning the middle of January. My neighborhood green grocer took pity on this transplanted and very pregnant FL girl, and ordered them for me. For the next 4 years, he'd call me in January when my berries arrived. What a wonderful man!
