Decorating in Blue and White

This is the mantel in our family room. We have a lot of blue in this room. The color is soothing and I recently placed my Victorian picture of a little girl in this room. I notice that I am returning to many of my Victorian things in the last month or so. I tend to go in cycles with my decorating but find the Victorian items refreshing for a change.

Beautiful blues, Barb. Sweet graphic of the little girl. I'm partial to blues as that is what I accent with in my red dining room. BTW, just noticed your pretty little white cabinet on the right in your blog header. My dear daddy made me a very similar stained one!

ReplyDeleteYour mantle looks fresh and lovely. That is one of my favorite Renoir paintings! He was never very clever with his names though - "A Girl with a Watering Can" - not nearly as inspired as the art itself!

Glad you came back today. You have some very pretty blues to share. I have a hard time finding blues as well. I take my camera along and make anything blue. That's the only way I can do it each week, as I sure do not have them.
