Tired, Reflective and Grateful!

Tired:

What a week this has been. Can we all say 'tired?' But a good tired it is....I have my craftroom/studio back! Yay!

Reflective:

Can you believe that it is almost August? Are we in a time warp? Fall decorating is swirling around in my brain.....even though I am running the air at full blast. Ha.

Grateful:

For all of you...my bloggy friends. How creative and inspiring you are to me. I have learned so much from all of you and really felt your friendship. I have been blogging for six months and have so much enjoyed it. Next week, I am having my first give-a-way. Please come back and join me in the celebration.

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

Christmas in July~~A Country Christmas Tablescape

A Country Christmas Tablescape

I put this tablescape together at the last minute but I could not resist all the fun. I absolutely love Christmas....any time of the year!

I have had the Christmas dishes for many years. The gold chargers are from Hobby Lobby.

Don't you just love the little teapot napkin rings? They are from Southern Hospitality as well as the napkins.

The flatware is from Bed Bath and Beyond. The placemats are from Ross.

The wooden swans are part of the Valerie Parr Hill collection.

The floral arrangement is from Michaels. I also have tassels and pieces of colored glass in the centerpiece.

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look. Have a lovely and delightful... Christmas in July!

Tablescape Thursday

Hi everyone, welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps On The Porch. Please visit her blog for a list of participants and all the lovely tablescapes for this week.

Pretty In Pink Tablescape

These dishes were given to me by my mother in law. I had admired them on her table for many years.

I am showing the dinner plate and soup bowl...but there are many pieces to this set.

The white chargers and placemats were purchased at Home Goods.

The napkins (I am using a pink one and a green one) and napkin rings are from Bed Bath and Beyond. The flatware is Reed and Barton.

A side view of the place setting.

The thumbprint goblets and butterfly dishes are antiques and pieces from my large Pink Milk Glass collection. I have had the crystal goblets for years.

The birds were made by me in a ceramics class many years ago. I have used them everywhere in my home.

The centerpiece arrangement is silk.

Outdoor Wednesday

Hello and welcome to Outdoor Wednesday hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer. Please visit her blog for a complete list of participants.

Saturday...my husband and I drove over to St Augustine, Florida. It is the oldest city in the United States.

I wanted to go in the lighthouse but no way I am climbing all those stairs in this heat. We will return in the Fall. Yikes!

I fell in love with this tree but don't have a clue what it is called.

Work and Fun...Have A Happy Weekend!

I have work and fun planned for the weekend.

First, I need to clean up my craftroom....yes, again! It would be lovely to be able to walk through it! I have too many projects going, once again. How does this happen....this room loves to stay messed up. Ha!

Then, I am off to Michaels to view their Fall Villages and add one to my already huge Fall collection. Yep, I know it is only July....but it helps to beat the heat just to think about Fall! My Fall Village is growing to the point of taking over. Yikes.

I do hope you all enjoy your weekend....stay cool and do something fun for yourself. See ya next week.

Tablescape Thursday

Hello and welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps On The Porch. Please visit her blog for a complete listing of participants.

Farmhouse Tablescape

As soon as I saw the farm scenes on these dinner plates...I knew I had to design a Farmhouse Tablescape.

The dinner plates are a soft grey black and were purchased at TJ Maxx. The chargers are from Home Goods.

The placemats have a striped and floral side and the striped side was the one I chose for my country table. They were found at Ross. The flatware is from HomeGoods. The napkins and water goblets are from Old Time Pottery. The napkin rings are from Southern Hospitality.

All the goodies in the wire basket are faux.

This napkin ring is made by Fitz and Floyd and I placed it on the table for an extra pop of color. I love the tomato!

The three wooden ducks are by the Valerie Parr Hill Collection on QVC. I love ducks almost as much as I love roosters. I tied on black and white checked wired ribbon to dress them up a bit. I like 'dressy' ducks. Ha!

I do hope you enjoyed my Farmhouse Tablescape. Thanks for stopping in and taking a look. Have a lovely Thursday.

Outdoor Wednesday

Hello and welcome to Outdoor Wednesday hosted by Susan at A Southern Daydreamer. Please go by her blog and check out all the wonderful participants.

Here are a couple of random pictures from around the yard. Many of our plants are really struggling with the mid-summer heat....which is awful!

Thanks for stopping in and taking a look. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Blue Monday

Hello and welcome to Blue Monday hosted by Sally at Smiling Sally. Please visit her blog for a list of participants and all the Blue Goodies.

These pictures were snapped over the weekend at Ponce Inlet on the Eastern Coast of Florida. This is a lovely area and a favorite place for my husband and myself. I took the pictures from a restaurant window.

The water and sky reminded me at once of Blue Monday....so here you are!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a look. Have a lovely Blue Monday.

Tablescape Thursday

Hello and welcome to another wonderful week of Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps On The Porch. Please visit her blog for a complete list of participants and their lovely tablescapes.

Seaside Tablescape
This is my Seaside Tablescape that I set up on our porch during the July 4th weekend. I wanted the table to be soothing and calming...so I chose to use a monochromatic color scheme.

The white dinner plate and salad plate are from the Gibson set. The seashell chargers are from Home Goods. The flatware is from Bed Bath and Beyond.

I found the silver metal fish napkin rings at a wonderful little local gift shop. The goblets and napkins are from Old Time Pottery.

The centerpiece was 'borrowed' from my summer kitchen shelves.

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my table. Have a lovely and wonderful Thursday!
