Looking Back and Reflecting
Hello to all my bloggy buddies! I hope your Christmas was joy-filled and special. It is so hard to believe that the day has come and gone for another year! Are you completely full of delicious food? I have been looking at all the ‘happy disorder’ (that’s what I call it….ha) around our home and my head is spinning. It will take days to put all the holiday things away. Are you looking forward to 2010? I am!!!!
Well, it is time to get back to the ‘happy disorder’…..Happy Sunday everyone!
Blessings, Barb
Oh I LOVE that term "happy disorder". Thanks Barb, for putting my "mess" into perspective for me!
ReplyDeleteJust saw a movie where they used the term "organized chaos"....I'm looking forward to 2010 too...got our first grandbaby (boy) due to arrive...doesn't get any better than that!
ReplyDeleteI love the way you put it ...happy disorder. It is wonderful. I'll be sad to see it go. Happy Christmas!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Barb, I love your blog header mosaic! sooooo beautiful! really love it!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, Barb!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm looking forward to 2010.
We will probably start taking things apart this week, sometime. We were going to go to the lake, but have decided to wait till after New Years.
Snowing here, again today. It's been a light snow for us, not much accumulation, but it has been snowing since Christmas morning.
What an adorable santa and Mrs. Klause. I never start taking things down until after New Years. Then I want it gone! It was a beautiful Christmas though.
ReplyDelete"Happy Disorder". That is the perfect way to put it.
ReplyDeleteYES! I am looking forward to 2010.
Morning Barb,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your Santa and Mrs. Clause figurine!!! We have had happy chaos around here since Christmas Eve we received about 6 1/2 inches of snow. Our fist ever white Christmas!!! This Sunday morning it is still on the ground....not very much has melted because our temps. have been so cold. Today will be above freezing so hope a bit more melts. It has been beautiful but I know now why I don't live where it snows a lot! I am ready for 2010 also.♥
I'm looking forward to 2010 also. I will start putting up Christmas decorations on New Year's Eve. I love that figurine of Santa and Mrs. Clause. I have it too. I bought it years ago when I managed a gift shop. It reminds me of my grandparents.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Hugs,
Lee Laurie
Out with the old, in with the new! Whew, its been hectic, but I Love It, we are Blessed with a Beautiful large Family and friends. I thank the Good Lord I was able to do it, but I couldn't have without the help of my DH and our Daughter. I so Love all your pictures and place settings, they look like a beautiful upscale magazine. You certainally have an eye for doing it! Happy Healthy New Year

LOL! We are also in a state of Happy Disorder! I went looking for my camera this morning only to find it burried in a basket of clean laundry.
ReplyDeleteI am looking for to the new year, it always holds so much promise doesn't it?
LOVE Mr. and Mrs Clause! It's so sweet how they're holding each other!
Can't wait to see a New Year's table from you.

The one day, Christmas birthday of Christ, has been celebrated but will remain daily in our lives.
ReplyDeleteWe will take down our festive decorations on Jan. 2. I love to greet the new year in festive colors.
Happy New Year,
TTFN ~Marydon
Christmas was WONDERFUL! Each year I wonder how we're going to pull it off...but every year Christmas just gets better and better! :)
ReplyDeleteHope yours was sweet!
Barb,
ReplyDeleteWhat a pleasant blog you have here!
Christmas was slow paced and very nice. We were snowed in.
God bless you and may you have a wonderful new year.
d from home haven
"Happy Disorder" here too! So glad you had a grand time with family.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb! I like your positive attitude in calling it "happy" disorder! I'm just calling it "disorder"!!lol I'm actually taking it down too even though I put up very little! I'm anxious to get on with my new decor and get back to sharing with everyone! Its a beautiful day here so I'm opening up and getting some fresh air in (hope the dust goes out the windows?)lol Thinking of you and hope the new year brings you much happiness! Sincerely, Jeannette
ReplyDeleteMy "happy disorder" is staying until Thursday. The garbage company will pick up our tree then. Yes, I'm looking forward to 2010! 2009 was not the best year, so I am hoping 2010 is better. So on that note: HAPPY NEW YEAR! --Delores
ReplyDeleteI have been following your Blog and love it. I have a question. How do you put your playlist at the bottom below the old posts. I have not been able to figure this out and how to get a different color playlist. Learning all of the time.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your help and Happy New Year.
Darlene
Cute way to describe this mess:) I am working at it slowly. My tree is down, not because I wanted to take it down but because the lights partially went out! So... I will be working on un-decorating for probably a week! Have a wonderful last week of 2009!
ReplyDeleteHi Barb!
ReplyDeleteWe had a wonderful Christmas! I hope your day was special...
Hugs!

Merry Christmas! I cannot live with my "happy disorder" for very long! Bob can't stand a mess! Happy 2010!
ReplyDeleteThat delicate Santa and Mrs. Santa statue is exquisite! Happy Holidays to you! See you soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

Hi Barb,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a wonderful Christmas. It sounds as though you are feeling much better.
I love the term happy disorder! I probably won't take my holiday decorations down until January first. Have a Happy New Year!!
Blessings,
Jan
Happy New Year to you, too! I am looking forward to a new year...I love beginnings! Enjoy the week ahead!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear how special your Christmas was. Our's was wonderful too, but my disorder will have to wait until my last bit of company leaves and then it will be catching up from close to 2 1/2 weeks of company. Have fun getting back to order. :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your help with my playlist. I have it at the bottom of my Blog now and somehow figured out how to save the Post and comments from that day as they will forever mean so much to me. Now to change the color. I think I have to remove it and put it on with another color. Tis the learning process and people like you helping. By the way, I love the big print and photo size on your Blog. You sure do not need a lot on your Blog to make it beautiful, as your is.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you,
Hugs from Darlene in California
I think I like to let Christmas continue right until New Years. That is when I relax and enjoy the tree and all of the great recipes made from the leftover food. Snuggle in the new PJ's and read the new books... I refuse to let it be over so soon!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas, Barb!! Savor it a bit longer!
xoxo

Hi Barb! I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was wonderful too! It does go by fast doesn't it? I did manage to sit and enjoy just a few moments with my home each day. Just to soak it all in before I had to pack it all up. I'm almost done. Whew! One week to put it up and it can get taken down in two days! YAY!
ReplyDeleteHave a safe and Happy New Year!
Hugs. Karen
You too sweet Barb!
ReplyDelete~Happy New Year! ~Melissa :)
Dear B...I just read your comment on my Bloggie and I want you to know I'm lifting you up, friend. I don't know what is troubling you...I don't need to know. God does, and that is all that matters. Whatever is hurting you this very day may seem huge to you, but it isn't to Him.
ReplyDeleteI pray for peace for you today. That every care you are carrying on your shoulders will melt away and ever trevail you are bearing will fall fast into sinking sand.
He is able....
He is.
Cast your hurts upon Him.
Thinking of you with love...
Rebecca
