Okay, I can't stand it one more minute.....I am decorating the house for Fall this weekend. Yes, it is hot, hot, hot outside but I will create an Autumn haven on the inside! I can hardly wait!

I found this cute Autumn door hanger this morning. Isn't it adorable?

Don't forget the Rooster Party is next Friday, August 28th. We have over
150 blogs signed up!! You still have all of next week to sign up if you wish to join us. It will be so wonderful to see all your roosters and the lovely and creative ideas you use in decorating with them. How exciting!

Have a wonderful and blessed weekend, my friends!

Oh my goodness! Fall is coming, isn't it? It has been unseasonably cool here in Edmond, OK. Usually it's around 100 in the afternoons. Yesterday it was about 85 and this morning it was 63! We love it! It does make me feel like fall is on it's way.
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for Fall!!!
ReplyDeleteThis heat, humidity and storms has got to go!
I can't wait to see your

ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite time of the year. I do not blame you one bit for wanting to get a jump start on it!
ReplyDeleteI cannot wait for fall! We've been teased with very fall like days this week but I know it won't be here for good for a few more weeks. I'm trying really hard to wait until after our vacation in September to drag out the fall decor.....but it is very, very hard! Enjoy your autumn haven and I can't wait to see all the roosers next week.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your fall decor, Barb! I'm trying to hold off my fall decorating til after the Rooster & GWTW Parties!!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs,

I did the back porch fireplace basket, for fall, this morning. Even though it's about 4 weeks away, I am absolutely ready for my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteThinking alike Barb! I was walking out of CVS this morning and went down the Fall isle; they had some adorable stuff and I was tempted but...I know I'll be back in there before the weekend is over! Yes it is hot hot here too and I can't wait for Fall's crisp air. I did pick up a new Febreze plug in and the scent is very fall like! I'm getting impatient and may have to join you in the decorating for fall dept.!lol Very pretty arrangement BTW and I love the door hanger as well! I should be doing something constructive like getting a new post out but instead I'm on the computer!!!lol Have a coooler weekend - Sincerely, Jeannette
ReplyDeleteI'm getting pretty excited about decorating for Fall too!
ReplyDeleteOh Barb... I wish I could find that enthusiasm for Fall, but I'm from the Great Northeast, and I'm trying to savor every last moment of Summer we can have here! Nevertheless, I am still thinking ahead about what decorating I might do once the Fall season settles in.. No matter what time of year it is, it's ALWAYS fun to decorate! I LOVE your little pumpkin door hanger! Really cute! ~tina
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm with you! I can't wait for fall to get here! And I'm so anxcious to decorate for fall....I'm already decorating ( at least in my mind :) ) Looking forward to the Rooster Party next week...thanks for pulling this all together...I just think it's going to be so much fun!

I am with you Barb!!! Temps here are mid 80's this week instead of high 90's!!! So bring it on real soon!
ReplyDeleteI am not decorating quite yet, but it is a struggle not too!!! Show us as soon as you are finished, okay? Rhonda
It's funny how we bloggers so look forward to the change in the seasons!! While we revel in the change in the air and how it affects all five of our senses, the creative juices seem to start to flow automatically. Thanks for inspiring me to start thinking about Fall. I hope to get a lot of ideas from you. My biggest problem is in trying to incorporate the oranges and yellows and browns with all of my pastels. And I don't have many whimsical things in my decor so it is hard to add some of the fun things I see while shopping. Any advice would be appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a wonderful "Fall" weekend, my friend!! :-)
xoxo
Jane
I don't own any Roosters but I will have fun looking in at your party. Fall, well I love Halloween but I have to say that I want the summer to last and last as I love the beach:)
ReplyDeleteJoyce

ReplyDeleteHi Barb,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like fall here today with a high of only 69 degrees. I am so not ready, could be cause I live in a Northern State and I know what comes next. We have had a cool summer with most days in the upper 70's to about 80. Anyhoo, I look forward to your rooster party and I think I signed up? I bet your home will be gorgeous for the party and I can't wait to see! Cindy
Barb...it's still reallllly hot here and I'm loving it! Can't let go over my summer yet, but you certainly have some wonderful Fall pretties! Susan

ReplyDeleteI am ready for Fall, cooler weather, college football but not the falling leaves.
Sharon
I'm not ready to let go of summer...as long as it's at least 75 degrees outside, I'm staying in my shorts and tank tops. But I do love your roosters...they look like they're flirting! The rooster party is going to be unbelievable...how many roosters can we have? I know the answer...ALOT!
ReplyDeleteMary

ReplyDeleteEven though it's still hot, it seems to me that fall starts when school starts! I usually spend the first week without the kids by getting some serious retail therapy that I missed out on during the summer when they are tagging along with me everywhere. I picked up some wonderful fabric and posted it yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOh my is it almost party time? I better get my roosters in order!
