Tablescape Thursday

Hello and welcome to Tablescape Thursday hosted by Susan at Between Naps On The Porch. Please visit her blog for a complete listing of participants.

Farmhouse Tablescape

As soon as I saw the farm scenes on these dinner plates...I knew I had to design a Farmhouse Tablescape.

The dinner plates are a soft grey black and were purchased at TJ Maxx. The chargers are from Home Goods.

The placemats have a striped and floral side and the striped side was the one I chose for my country table. They were found at Ross. The flatware is from HomeGoods. The napkins and water goblets are from Old Time Pottery. The napkin rings are from Southern Hospitality.

All the goodies in the wire basket are faux.

This napkin ring is made by Fitz and Floyd and I placed it on the table for an extra pop of color. I love the tomato!

The three wooden ducks are by the Valerie Parr Hill Collection on QVC. I love ducks almost as much as I love roosters. I tied on black and white checked wired ribbon to dress them up a bit. I like 'dressy' ducks. Ha!

I do hope you enjoyed my Farmhouse Tablescape. Thanks for stopping in and taking a look. Have a lovely Thursday.

Now I have to go visit your Outdoor Wednesday post and see what you did there.

I love it! So country and cozy! The pics on the plates are great...I love TJMaxx and HomeGoods! Today is my first try at Tablescape Thurs.

Your dressy ducks are sweet, and the perfect guests to dine at your pretty table. The faux food fooled me. I was thinking your napkins would be getting stained by berry juice.

Brenda said...

I do love your farmhouse tablescape! And your perky geraniums and your faux food! Where did you get the faux food, would you mind telling me? Cause I rarely cook, and it might look like I actually used my dishes for more than tablescaping if I could add little touches like that! I love those plates; great plates! I wish we had Home Goods. But alas, we do not. Love the flatware, and all the goodies on your elegant table! And of course your ducks!

Hi Barb,

Barb,
I love your farmhouse tablescape. I wanted to buy those plates but I already have 2 different black & white sets, so I didn't. I have those same place mats from Ross. I forgot that they were striped on the back. And I love your duckies with the ribbons. Too cute!! I wish I would have participated this week, but I went swimming instead of playing with my dishes. Maybe next week.

Hi Barb. I love those plates. Those ducks are adorable too. I had to chuckle when you said they were a Valerie Parr-Hill. I am such a QVC girl but I don't remember seeing the ducks. It must have been during the period I was trying to ween myself which didn't last very long :)
Take care, Susan
