Out of the blue, Internet Explorer will not open some of the blogs for me! Is this happening to anyone else? And, some of my comments are not appearing AFTER they are listed as being published. If you are not hearing from me, it is because I cannot access your blog.Is anyone else having these kinds of problems or is it just me?

Yes I am! I cannot open my sister's blog and I am also finding that sometimes when I am working on my own blog it says "operation aborted". I wonder what's going on! I hope things get fixed. I have not noticed anything weird about comments, but I have mine set that I approve them first.

Hi Barb, I just checked the 'Help' section under blogger.com and this is a known issue that they are working on. Last post was yesterday...has been going on since Wed evening (as far as I know)..

HI Barb! I'm not having that problem but have been having a problem none the least! Some blogs I open, all of a sudden all these windows start popping open and I can't get out or shut down or anything. Have to manually shut down the computer. This happened to me on our downstairs computer and now it's ruined! I've deleted some blogs because of this. Someone has said that hackers are out spreading viruses and not to click on a name of someone you don't know because when you do - you may get infected! I hate this stuff!

I just signed up for Google Chrome and I was able to get into my sister's blog without the dreaded message that it's closing down. I just tried to get on this site with my old google and it didn't work, but when I tried with Google Chrome, I got right in. I wonder if that has anything to do with it or if it's coincidence??

I left a little message on my blog this morning about the trouble I'm having getting into blogger blogs. I seem to be able to access typepad and others. I downloaded Mozilla Firefox a little while ago and all seems to be fine now. Internet Explorer seemed to be my problem, but it could be something altogether different!!
I've also noticed those multiple windows popping up, like Shelia mentioned!
I hope they get it fixed soon. Will see what happens with Firefox. I didn't check with my computer gurus (aka kids), before doing the Firefox thing. Wonder what they'll have to say about that!

I think it's IE. When I use IE, I keep getting this popup, operation aborted. But when I use Google Chrome, I have no problems whatsoever. IE sure does have alot of problems.

Yes, I've had problems too. It's frustrating when you are trying to post something and then it aborts. Ugghhh.
But I just keep trying to go to blogs and it finally lets me on. That's what I did to get on your site. :)

I am not having any trouble but I got an email from a friends saying she was having problems!
I too have been having these problems Barb! There were several blogs that were on the tablescape list where IE was closing. I've seem to be getting an awful lot of error messages too.
I think maybe the problems might have to do with add on's or something, I've had messages about them,(not really sure what they are though)! My high speed internet has been running at the speed of snail too! Oh and I switched from IE-7 to IE-8, maybe thats it! Who knows??!!
Thankfully I've had no trouble accsessing your blog!!

Barb.I'm glad you posted this, I was having some problems too...I couldn't open some blogs, so I immediately ran my virus scan, it came out fine, I never did get pop ups like some were saying, but it concerned me. So I'm glad to hear they are aware and working on it.
I've been having this problem yesterday and today. It is comforting somewhat, to know others are experiencing the same thing. I thought it was our computer. Thanks for posting this. It is interesting reading the comments from others. Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!!

Yes, I've been having trouble accessing blogs the last few days. Very frustrating indeed. I've had happen the same thing as the other gal did ~ after clicking on a blog then suddenly tons of windows keep opening & I can't stop it!! Aaack!! I had to completely shut down. Thankfully it still works though. Right now as I'm typing this something strange is happening...hmmmm?

YES..Since yesterday...every time I tried..I would think it was alright and then a pop up would appear that said Explorer could not open...then it would say there was something wrong with the URL. I would check..the URL would be correct...they seem to be coming through better ..or at lease one of them is..

P.S. I did the same...ran a virus scan..it turned out..and yes..that was it. "Operation aborted!" exactly. then my screen would turn odd...opaque? All yesterday and last night this happened..
I have been using Firefox for over a year. It is in my mind, a far better and faster browser than IE. It is also a more secure browser by far. Just my two cents worth!
I heard that Firefox isn't as secure, too. If this is resolved, I'll do something about changing that. As Sue mentioned, I've learned just since downloading Firefox, this morning, it seems more efficient than IE.
I did a scan and everything is fine. I thought it might be a bug with all those windows popping up. It will be a relief to find out what is going on!
I've been using Firefox for ages and have never had a problem. I'm a Mac user so I don't use Internet Exploder but my hubby sure has unkind words for it much of the time. He also uses Firefox and hasn't had a problem either. I would recommend it. It's quite blogger friendly as well. Much more so than the Mac browser, Safari, is.
Barb, Yes, I've experienced these same problems since yesterday. I actually could not open your blog and had to go into your II blog and go over to this one, which doesen't make since. I'm not sure, but this did happen before before, and my computer anti-virus systems locked me out of any place that has a virus. I don't know. I hope it gets fixed. Sorry. Mumzie

I've been having the same trouble for 3 days now...and I keep getting OPERATION ABORTED messages from Internet Explorer..so frustrating but Blogger is saying they are working on the problem...

Yes, I had problems starting last evening. I have no idea what it means when it says Operation Aborted. If I back out of my blog and then go back in sometimes I can get it.

I spent the last four days getting some pop up saying something about being aborted and my computer shutting down.

Hi! I saw your post title on someone's blog roll. I can solve the problem!
The problem is the interfacing between blogger and Internet Explorer. Empty your Temp or Temp Internet folder. Then restart your computer.
However, I switched to Firefox and have had no problems since.
I have been trying out Google Chrome for the last week and no problems Yet.
I've had the same problem but sometimes when the "Opertion Aborted" message comes up, I click on OK then I hit the "Back" button and usually the blog comes back. Every once in awhile the message keeps popping up, so then I just move on But hitting the "Back" button works 99% of the time. But I wil try to empty my Temp folder.
