More Roosters!

Look what I found in Hobby Lobby...more roosters! Okay, I am sick and will admit it. Ha. I love roosters!! This picture will go somewhere close to my stove....don't know where yet.

These little roosters are cast iron and weigh a lot....you wouldn't want to drop them on your foot! I decided to get one in red and one in green....I like variety.

Happy Friday to all my blogger buddies!!

  8. You know that France's National Emblem, the Gallic Rooster "coq gaulois," is a sign of virility. I guess you had better be careful Barb!

  10. I love your roosters! My friend and I just returned home from going to yard sales. While we were out we dropped by Hobby Lobby. I found a piece of architectural molding (tin, not real) I liked but it was $39.99, marked half price. I would have had to paint it as it was way too dark for my taste. Being the cheapskate I am, I passed it up. Went to one more yard sale on our way home and there, for $10 was the piece I wanted from Hobby Lobby. So I got it. This one is much lighter and won't take nearly as much paint. Love it when these things happen. ♥

  11. Barb!
I did the same thing today. I stopped at a yard sale and they had quite an assortment of roosters. I got the cutest one...for $5. He is so handsome!

And all of this after I try to tell myself I am not really the rooster type. I told Chelsea no one will believe that now...sigh.

I love your new picture and those cast iron beauties. Maybe there is a support group for unwilling rooster lovers.

    LOL...

    Have an absolutely awesome weekend!

  17. I love your roosters Barb! I can't say I like the actual bird tho. I'm a bit scared of them as all the roosters I've ever met were bad tempered things! I can think of one in particular who'd look great, stuffed! Mean old git. LOL!

  18. One of my dear friends collects pigs. Every time I see pigs, I think of her. Now, every time I see roosters...I will think of you. Funny thing, you can even present roosters in a beautiful way. Made me smile.

  25. Barb, I have a blue rooster like your little yellow and red bookend guys. I'm a life long fan of roosters, so will definitely be at the party on the 28th. You can't have too many roosters! I've added your rooster party button to my blog page. I'll be there with roosters galore! Great idea for a party!
