The Art of Puttering

Hello and welcome in to Sunday Favorites hosted by the very sweet Chari at Happy to Design. Please visit her blog for a complete list of participants. This was originally posted in March.

I have set aside today as my puttering day.

Alexandra Stoddard is the writer who made me aware of the power of this simple act in her book Living A Beautiful Life. "Puttering is really a time to be alone, to dream and to get in touch with yourself." I like that.

I am going to move some things around...mostly accessories and do some reading. I want to take a pad of paper to the porch and sit and daydream of some things I want to do to the house in the next weeks or so.

I have taken chicken out of the freezer and will make some delicious dish for dinner. It will be a good day. I hope your day is just delightful also!

  24. Hi Barb...

Ohhh...I'm so glad that you joined in with the fun of Sunday Favorites today, my friend! I loved the post that you chose to republish...puttering around is my favorite thing to do!!! Hehe!!!

Let me see...to answer your question about how to republish your post without carrying all of the previous comments over...I give detailed instructions on my "Sunday Favorites" info. post (click on the photo link at the top right hand corner of my blog)

If you just change the post date (which is the easiest) you get the post with all of the previous comments. To to a repost without comments, you have to go into the HTML mode of your post...and copy it...then make a new post and go into the HTML tab and paste. It's just a matter of copying and pasting the post you want to republish. It's basically a new post doing it this way and you won't have the previous comments tagging along. BUT...the main thing to know is that you HAVE TO do all of the copying and pasting of the post in the HTML mode. It's the only way it works. Do you know how to get to the HTML mode? When you make a new post...at the top of it you have 2 tabs...one tab is "compose" and the other tab is "HTML". You just have to click on the HTML tab. While your in HTML mode, you will see your entire post in the HTML language (computer language with no photos, etc.)

Ohhh my...I hope that I have made this clear for you to understand...it really is much easier than it all sounds! Let me know if you have any more questions...or if you're not understanding this...I'll try and walk you through it "step by step"!

I sure do appreciate you participating in Sunday Favorites and thank you so much for your sweet comments about my pink canisters!!!

Have a super Sunday, my friend!!!
